Mission

ALG Australia’s objective is to support clients who wish to leverage the power of the Business Objects Profit Applications suite. These applications enable organizations to identify their true costs and therefore analyze their net profitability. The outcomes provide insights into an organization’s future financial performance and the agility to improve it. This helps it deliver an improved return to their stakeholders.

Out strengths lie in costing and the more advanced methods of planning and budgeting. Delivering such solutions involves linking the operational and financial domains. ALG has developed proven, pragmatic methodologies to achieve such linkages.

The outcomes enable the development of practical, repeatable driver based budgets and forecasts and continuous improvement programs across all dimensions, including customers, products and channels.

History

ALG was formed in 2004 to take over and manage the installed client base which had deployed applications from ALG UK. These applications were called EPO and Metify.

In 2006 ALG UK was purchased by Business Objects and the applications were integrated in the Enterprise Performance Management application portfolio and called Profit Applications.

SAP purchased Business Objects at the end of 2007.  ALG believes that our clients will gain significant business benefits through the combination of innovative offerings of enterprise-wide profitability analytics solutions along with embedded analytics in process applications. Non SAP customers will also benefit as this outcome means increased focus and development around complex business processes and solutions for their analysis and improvement.
